We do this on an ongoing basis through targeted investment, continuous improvement and elimination of waste.
B&P work in partnership with suppliers and customers to maximise the use of returnable packaging, reduce or eliminate the use of wooden pallets and plastics and recycle materials wherever possible.
Examples of improvement projects include:
- Use of steel pallets (elimination of wooden pallet waste)
- Electrification of forklift fleet
- Reduction of single use plastics
- Installation of LED lighting
- Elimination of vehicular nitrogen deliveries
- Optimise collection processes to reduce carbon emissions
